Utility Musician / Multi Instrumentalist
My name is Cary Nicolo, known in the industry as Cary Keyz. As utility musician with nearly 3 decades of experience, I play Keyboards, Bass, Rhythm Guitar, Mandolin, and Bass Pedals. I also sing background vocals as well as lead. Throughout the 90’s and early 2000’s I have played in every major club throughout the NY/ CT/ NJ (tri-state) area. I've played clubs like CBGB's, The Bitter End, from Macdougal St and beyond ! My musical genres are everything from 50-s to current Rock/POP, Variety Band, Party & Classic Rock, Funk, R&B, Country and more.

In 2010 I moved to Jupiter Florida. After years of playing in Corporate / Wedding s, Duo's and Trio's, Funk, Rock, Blues & Soul, I immersed myself in the Florida music scene. Here are some of my current projects; THE LATITUDES BAND , The best Tropical Rock, Reggae and Funk! CLASSIC ALBUMS LIVE, Note for note, cut for cut of the best classic Albums. The Brass Evolution, Chicago, Steely Dan, Blood Sweat & Tears and other great horn based funk and soul. I've also played in different tribute bands from KEEP THE FAITH, Florida's #1 Bon Jovi Tribute, Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac and others.

At 8 years old I picked up the guitar and began learning Beatles songs by ear. I began playing the piano at 10. I eventually learned Bass and Mandolin.

I discovered that my musical ability is in my DNA. I was adopted and through an Ancestry DNA test I learned that my biological father, Joseph Nicolo was also a musician. My dad was the lead vocalist and guitar player for the New Glenn Miller Orchestra (under the direction of Buddy DeFranco) from 1967-1974. My dad also played bass, keyboards and trumpet. In NYC he did shows with Buddy Rich himself to do shows in NYC. Buddy loved my dad's jazz skills and the sound from his custom made D’ Angelico Guitars.
Being a multi-instrumentalist (Keyboards, Bass, Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Pedals,Mandolin, and Bass Pedals) enabled me to perform the role of John Paul Jones in several touring Led Zeppelin Tributes. Over the years I have also played in tribute bands of Aerosmith, U2, Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac, and Bruce Springsteen to name a few.
